In today’s fast-paced jewellery market, where mass-produced imported pieces often come with hidden ethical costs, Acanthia Jewellery reclaims the rich heritage of the Jewellery Quarter. We celebrate the timeless elegance found in nature, reinterpreted through our distinctive Acanthia motif and refined, contemporary designs. Committed to ethical practices and sustainability, each piece is crafted with care and intention—offering more than decoration, but a lasting connection to tradition, beauty, and purpose.
The Designer
My name is emma and i founded Acanthia Jewellery to offer an alternative to mass-produced imports, creating designs with integrity, heritage, and meaning. Trained at the School of Jewellery, I bring together CAD expertise, design across multiple platforms, and traditional hand-making skills. Living and working in the Jewellery Quarter, I carry its legacy of craftsmanship forward, shaping jewellery that is both contemporary and timeless.
Craftsmanship & Heritage
All Acanthia jewellery is proudly designed and made in the historic Jewellery Quarter, the heart of British jewellery-making. Each piece is brought to life by skilled local artisans—casters, mounters, setters, and polishers—while every design and CAD is created by the founder. By retaining these traditional methods, we honour a heritage of craftsmanship that is slowly disappearing in today’s world of imported, mass-produced jewellery, ensuring every piece carries authenticity, quality, and artistry.
Origin & Inspiration
Acanthia Jewellery is deeply inspired by the iconic acanthus swirls that have adorned classical architecture for centuries. From this timeless symbol emerged the renowned Acanthia motif—an artistic reinterpretation that captures the fluidity and grace of nature’s forms while embodying sophistication and modernity. This motif serves as the foundation of our design philosophy, inspiring collections that celebrate the continuity and subtle beauty found in nature, reimagined through refined, contemporary signature designs.
